Pastor Christopher A. Maxie is the founding pastor of Christ‘s Kingdom Builders Church, the first church plant of Christ’s Kingdom Builders International Ministries. Christ’s Kingdom Builders is a multi-cultural church established in February of 2010 and based in Pastor Maxie’s home town of Lansing Michigan. Pastor Maxie is dedicated to teaching the truth of God’s Word in clarity to this generation. His deep conviction to living and modeling a victorious life in Christ promotes his exegetical approach in sharing the Holy Scriptures.

 

Born and raised in Lansing by his mother and his grandparents Pastor Maxie attended and graduated from J.W Sexton High School. He attended Grand Valley State University earning a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and two decades later, Pastor Maxie graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary of Lynchburg Virginia, with a Masters in Biblical Studies.

 

Pastor Maxie accepted Jesus Christ as Lord on March 17, 2001. Shortly after he joined with Vessels of Praise New Direction Bible Ministries, in Lansing, where he served for nine years under the direction of Dr. Freddie Thomas Jr. During that time Pastor Maxie served as an usher, and as the pastor’s amour bearer, before accepting the Lord’s call to the pastoral ministry. On September 17, 2003 Pastor Maxie received his ministerial license and delivered his first sermon. On August 25, 2005 Pastor Maxie was ordained and in August of 2006 he was appointed as the Assistant Pastor at Vessels of Praise. It was during this time of faithful service that God led Pastor Maxie to establish Christ’s Kingdom Builders International Ministries and Church.

 

In addition to serving as Senior Pastor at Christ’s Kingdom Builders Pastor Maxie is also currently serving as the secretary of the Greater Lansing Clergy Forum. Currently Pastor Maxie can be heard on local radio and television stations in the Tri-County area and over the planet via the World Wide Web.

At Christ’s Kingdom Builders Church First Lady Debra A. Maxie is one of the first to greet members and guests with a warm, open smile and a big hug. Her welcoming outgoing personality instantly puts everyone at ease and ready for worship. First Lady Debra walks in agreement with her husband Senior Pastor Christopher A. Maxie to achieve the vision God has set forth for Christ’s Kingdom Builders Church at home and abroad. A licensed minister and anointed prayer warrior, First Lady Maxie leads the Tuesday Noonday Prayer and teaches Thursday Evening Bible Study.

 

First Lady Debra is a loving and dedicated wife and together with Pastor Christopher they have six children and seven grandchildren. Born out of her God given passion to minister to children from an early age, in July of 2014 she earned a Bachelors degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University. In addition to her position as First Lady at Christ’s Kingdom Builders Church, First Lady Debra Maxie serves as supervisor of the Descendants of Glory Youth Department and the Director of Genuine Love Women's Ministry. Walking in fulfillment of her favorite scripture, Proverbs 14:1 ‘The wise woman builds her house...’ First Lady Debra A. Maxie is excited to fulfill the role God is writing for her in the life of her family, church and community in the days, months and years to come.
